These are the questions the consultation is asking, can you read them and not get angy.
Question 1 Do you agree that these proposals strike the right balance between the rights of parents to home educate and the rights of children to receive a suitable education?
Disagree
Definitely, definitely not! We can decide what we are doing in our own time. I was definitely not receiving a suitable education at school. In law at the moment it holds the parent accountable for the child’s education but you want to control what the parent teaches. It is an injustice to the people of the home educating community. At least you are teaching us how there are horrible mean people in this world, so I guess you are doing something for our education. if this law does get passed at least you will have to tell people about home education existing.
The world is my classroom and life is my curriculum. How does a baby learn to walk how does a baby learn to talk, they are not sat in a classroom learning the mechanics of it. And don’t think I am giving you ideas.
Home educated children are less likely to be abused than most children.

Question 2 Do you agree that a register should be kept?
Disagree
Definitely, definitely not!. Even if you had it you probably couldn’t protect vulnerable children like in the case of baby Peter, where a doctor saw him the day before he died. What we are doing is legal so there is no need to register.

Question 3 Do you agree with the information to be provided for registration?
Disagree
I would not dream of planning my education, I do not want to be anything at all, at all, at all, like school I hope I have made that clear enough. The questions you are asking me make me feel sick. That anyone could think that they have rights into our homes making accusations about dead children, involving home educating to prove your point when everybody knew about them but didn’t protect them. You are making such a mess of this that it is a surprise that we are said to be a free country.

4 Do you agree that home educating parents should be required to keep the register up to date?
Disagree
No register and if there was do your own admin.

5 Do you agree that it should be a criminal offence to fail to register or to provide inadequate or false information?
Disagree
The response I am not writing down is a very rude word. It is a legal choice to home educate, how can it be criminal and the thought of a register makes me feel sick.

6 a) Do you agree that home educated children should stay on the roll of their former school for 20 days after parents notify that they intend to home educate?
Disagree
More swearing suppressed. If I had had to stay in my old school for 20 more days I would still be waiting to recover all the confidence I have now three years later. The school I went to made me feel stupid because they just didn’t understand. Their special needs provision was and probably still is appalling. Next you will be making our parents train as teachers, oops got to stop giving you ideas! I did not know this world was so horrible, it seems like horrible people are the only ones who want power.

6 b) Do you agree that the school should provide the local authority with achievement and future attainment data?
Disagree
I tried my best in school but all I ever got were the lowest grades. They had this certificate system but the bullies got more than me. School knew nothing about who I really was and nothing about what I could achieve
‘Each week: 450,000 children are bullied in school
Each year: more than 360,000 children injured in schools
Each year: at least 16 children commit suicide as a result of school bullying
Each year: an estimated 1 million children truant
Each year: more than 1 in 6 children leave school unable to read, write or add up
Every Child Matters?’

7 Do you agree that DCSF should take powers to issue statutory guidance in relation to the registration and monitoring of home education?
Disagree
Could you start asking sensible questions, never in my wildest dreams would I agree with you on this. You make me feel sick. I did not know this world was so horrible.

8 Do you agree that children about whom there are substantial safeguarding concerns should not be home educated?
Disagree
I am not going to dignify this question with an answer.

9 Do you agree that the local authority should visit the premises where home education is taking place provided 2 weeks notice is given?
Disagree
You know what you guys are like, you are like a slug, you are in our garden all the time, you are feeding on our food and we can’t get rid of you!
You make me feel sick. I did not know this world was so horrible.
This is what most home educated children think about what you are trying to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QjdcdG4mP4
Question 10 Do you agree that the local authority should have the power to interview the child, alone if this is judged appropriate, or if not in the presence of a trusted person who is not the parent/carer?
Disagree
I would rather eat a slug than talk to the local authority officer!
This is what most home educated children think about what you are trying to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QjdcdG4mP4
11 Do you agree that the local authority should visit the premises and interview the child within four weeks of home education starting, after 6 months has elapsed, at the anniversary of home education starting, and thereafter at least on an annual basis? This would not preclude more frequent monitoring if the local authority thought that was necessary.
Disagree
Local authority officers will never be welcome in my home. You are not meant to know there are so many horrible people in the world by the age of 11.
This is a total waste of money!
Why not spend the money making this work better?

How I wonder what you are
Up above the sky so high
Like a diamond in the sky

Snow Poem
Covering the outdoor chairs
Soon my garden won’t exist just the joyful fun that comes with snow
Snowmen dressed in woolly clothes upon the snowy ground
Snow angels lying on the buried grass some small some big some in between
Oh how I love the snow fluttering down on a quest to make everything a brilliant beautiful white
But soon the sun will come out and melt it all away
So I will make the best of this wonderful snowy day

The Benefits of Home Education
They will choose a career they like, they don't just want to make money they want to like their job and want to be involved and do well at it. They don't want to be a great business person and be unhappy. They want to actually feel involved in their job so they are not just sitting in an office typing words when they want to be doing a career that is competely different.
I am now less shy and now talk to people I want to rather than hiding in the shadows and waiting for them to speak. I now have a lot more friends, at school I only had three and two of them bullied me.
Schools can be mentally abusive and after two years of home education I still haven't got over the fact that school treated me as dumb because I couldn't write or read or do maths properly even though they knew it was because of my learning differences. They couldn't understand me so I had to be dumb. This is because they are not trained properly to understand people who are just slightly different from them.
Home education has freed me, I am now able to learn instead of sit somewhere where I don't learn anything and then get told off for forgetting that I have been told. At school they bully you into learning stuff and tell you off if you don't manage to do it.

My Response to the Review of Elective Home Education
Consultation Questions1 Do you think the current system for safeguarding children who are educated at home is adequate?
Please let us know why you think that.
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
Why would people go to the bother of home educating their kids before hurting them, they could just do it before and after school. I think children at school are more in danger from bullying and the teachers not understanding them and special needs provision being appaling.
2 a) Be healthy
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
Of course, they are more likely to be healthy than school kids, because they get to choose their meals and the school meals are unhealthy and there is only one vegitarian option. At school you are not able to get enough exercise, at home you can go out when you want and do activities that you like a lot more than PE at school. School took away the only activity I found fun when I went up to year two.
2 b) Stay safe
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
Yes because one of their parents or a responsible adult is always there, unlike at school where playground supervisors are not actually looking for trouble and miss a lot of things that go on. In fact they only seem to get involved in one side of a problem and do not listen to the other side.2
c) Enjoy and achieve
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
Because they are not stressed they can achieve whatever they want. They learn what they want at the speed they want and they are not forced to listen to things that go in one ear and out the other. The subjects children want to study just get pushed to one side at school so they can't follow the career that they want to. When children are home educated they can give their full attention to what they want and not what the teachers want.
2 d) Make a positive contribution.
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
Of course they can, many school kids don't make a postive contribution. Because the teachers are asked to do too many subjects which means that the kids don't get a proper education in those subjects especially languages. I am now less shy and now talk to people I want to rather than hiding in the shadows and waiting for them to speak. I now have a lot more friends, at school I only had three and two of them bullied me.
2 e) achieve economic well-being
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
They will choose a career they like, they don't just want to make money they want to like their job and want to be involved and do well at it. They don't want to be a great business person and be unhappy. They want to actually feel involved in their job so they are not just sitting in an office typing words when they want to be doing a career that is competely different.
3 Do you think that Government and local authorities have an obligation to ensure that all children in this country are able to achieve the five outcomes?
If you answered yes, how do you think Government should ensure this?.
Yes
No
Not
SureAnswer/Comments:
I think you are not doing well enough at school. At school children don't achieve the goal they want they acheive the goals that govenment wants or don't. I think you should give them more chance to express themselves and let them take the subjects they really want too. Until all children in schools achieve these goals what right do you have to interfere with us..
4 Do you think there should be any changes made to the current system for supporting home educating families? If you answered yes, what should they be? If you answered no, why do you think that?
Yes
No
Not
SureAnswer/Comments:
Home educated children should be given free equipment and be allowed to visit places for free, school children should be allowed this as well. But only if they choose to accept it.
5 Do you think there should be any changes made to the current system for monitoring home educating families? If you answered yes, what should they be? If you answered no, why do you think that?
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer/Comments:
It is fine as it is without disturbing the families who are doing brilliantly at educating their child. When the home education inspector came round I felt like get out of my house. I have got out of school because i wasn't fitting in I don't need someone else to tell me what to do when i don't want to do it.
6 Some people have expressed concern that home education could be used as a cover for child abuse, forced marriage, domestic servitude or other forms of child neglect. What do you think Government should do to ensure this does not happen?
Answer/Comments:
Schools can be mentally abusive and after two years of home education I still haven't got over the fact that school treated me as dumb because I couldn't write or read or do maths properly even though they knew it was because of my learning differences, they couldn't understand me so I had to be dumb. This is because they are not trained properly to understand people who are just slightly different from them.
